I’m a designer and illustrator based out of Calgary, Alberta, where I graduated with distinction from the Alberta University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Design. Currently, I am also a Master of Architecture student at the University of Calgary and a Graduate Research Assistant with the School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape. I love making art, reading, playing video games, drinking tea, and spending the day doing absolutely nothing with my dog Bailey.
I have been a member of several artist residencies and artist collectives. These include the AUArts Students’ Association’s HEAR/D Residency, as well as the Anastomosis Residency at Sparrow Artspace in Calgary and the Clematis Artist Collective.
My zine Rose Coloured Glasses was shown at Contemporary Calgary, the Marion Nicoll Gallery, and the reading room of the Esker Foundation. This was part of a gallery show called “Rewinding the Tape” for the HEAR/D Residency and the 2022 Exposure Photography Festival.
I love architecture, illustration, graphic design, editorial work, branding, photography and photo editing, making zines, needle felting, and pretty much anything that allows me to be creative! If you’d like to work together you can send me an email at: rdenbina@gmail.com
